Statement of Faith About Truth Academy Answering Your Questions

Introduction to Chapel

The author of Hebrews provides excellent advice when he writes:

"Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith." (Hewbrews 13:7 NIV) Truth Academy starts each morning with Chapel. While we don't teach theology or doctrine, we believe it is important to start the day with a brief study from God's word and a prayer. This year we will be following the advice of the Hebrews' author by studying some of the people of the Bible.

During the first part of the year we will focus on people of the Old Testament. After Christmas break we will study individuals from the New Testament. While most (but not all) of the people we will study provide excellent examples of faith; all of the individuals provide us lessons we can apply in our everyday lives.

We will use the Truth Academy website to identify the individual(s) we are studying for the week. We will also share with you the lessons taught during Chapel. We encourage you to use our daily studies as a springboard for conversation and discussion at home.

We are really excited about Chapel this year and look forward to seeing how different people of the Bible can provide valuable lessons for us today.
